The Hong Kong Tourism Board organized a free daily (or "nightly" rather) light and laser show at at 8pm. During "A Symphony of Lights", the exterior decorative lights of key buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour synchronized with music to put on the world's largest permanent light and sound show (named by Guinness World Records).

The best place to enjoy the show is at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. You can also enjoy the show on the other side of the harbour at the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. If you cannot make it to these location, just look at the buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour (維多利亞港 or in Chinese) at 8pm (although you will not be able to hear the music).

There are five scenes to A Symphony of Lights (幻彩詠香江 in Chinese) and the show lasts for about 15 minutes. To be frank, it gets a bit repetitive and dull after the first 5 minutes, and the audience's attention are most likely to drift. However, the show ends at a climax, the last 2 minutes should not be missed. At New Year Countdowns, the show began just before midnight and fire works are also displayed.
