The Wan Chai Environmental Resource Centre is a small office and educational center to enhance the public awareness of environmental protection. The building that the centre housed in, the Old Wan Chai Post Office, is the oldest surviving post office in Hong Kong.

After serving the community for 77 years, the post office ceased to operate in 1992. It is now a declared monument.
In order to make your trip worthwhile, you might consider to walk towards the Stone Nullah Lane and check out another declared monument, the Blue House.

Another option is to walk uphill on Wan Chai Gap Road and seek this stone made Chinese Chess board. It is however a steep up hill walk, tough you can spend time with oxygen generating trees. (Chess pieces are not provided.)
