Hong Kong Wetland Park

A natural wetland reserve between the mainland China Shen Zhen border and Hong Kong's Tin Shui Wei District has been reserved for conservation purpose. Home to wildlife animals, the Hong Kong Wetland Park is an education, tourism and conservation center all-in-one.

The Westland Discovery Center offers a 1 to 2 hours educational tour on wildlife, nature and conservations. It is particular popular during summer months as it is the only air-conditioned area on site. After observing wildlife on a hot day under the sun, what's better than a comfortable education tour inside an air-conditioned museum?

The exhibits at the Westland Discovery Center are worth seeing. Children can have a taste of becoming news reports while learning about useful facts on a series of interactive multimedia kiosks.

The wetland reserve is a quiet and peaceful area which is also full of life. Apart from natural wetland, visitors can also find birds and reptiles in the area.

The easiest means of transportation to the Hong Kong Wetland Park is by Light Rail (interchange at Tin Shui Wei station). Lightrail travellers are required to purchase their ticket from the ticket machines on the platform, or pay by Octopus at the kiosk on the platform before aboard and after getting off the train.
