Mong Kok Neon Signs and Billboards

One of the unique scenes in Hong Kong is definitely the overwhelming number of neon signs and billboards hanging, dangling, piling on the walls of buildings. Thanks to loose government regulations, all sorts of billboards and neon signs can easily be found in many districts in Hong Kong.

Billboards at Sai Yeung Choi Street, Mong Kok

Mong Kok is probably one of the districts that you can find the most neon signs and billboards. The scene has became a tourist attraction itself. Every night, tourists pay "tourist price" to ride on open-top double-decker bus just to see these colour displays.

In the evening, these huge advertisement turned into flashing and super bright advertisements that has raised a few eyebrows. Apart from nearby residence who are disturbed by the bright lights, environmentalist concerned the light and other pollution that these neon signs and billboards produce.
