One of the unique scenes in Hong Kong is definitely the overwhelming number of neon signs and billboards hanging, dangling, piling on the walls of buildings. Thanks to loose government regulations, all sorts of billboards and neon signs can easily be found in many districts in Hong Kong.
Billboards at Sai Yeung Choi Street, Mong Kok |
Mong Kok is probably one of the districts that you can find the most neon signs and billboards. The scene has became a tourist attraction itself. Every night, tourists pay "tourist price" to ride on open-top double-decker bus just to see these colour displays.
Billboards and Neon Signs at Nathan Road (Mong Kok Section) |
Here is a short clip of the Neon Signs on Nathan Road, which is one of the main streets in Hong Kong.
No matter which side you support, these neon signs and billboards are definitely worth visiting. If you happened to be in Mong Kok during that day, do spend so time and look at the "amazing" constructions of these signs and see how these are "attached" to these old buildings.
